The Pinckney name originally de Picquigny, the ancestor going to England from France with "William the Conquerer" (from Picardy, France, from a small community on the Somme River.) Mrs. Farrow's notes (verso, back cover): I am descended from William Pinckney. Signed Marie S. Lagare, Oct. 14, 1925 (Mrs. Farrow's mother?).
