Music book 1800-1809 Belonged to Alicia H. Russell (Middleton) Signed: Alicia H. Russell Book with cardboard ends with marbelized paper. It is printed with music lines that have been hand-scored. End papers have simple line drawings of a rectilinear design, a wheel, a pair of glasses (?) on a nose, a small curved object not unlike a wine siphon. Frontispiece signed, "Alicia H. Russell." Songs include: Said a Smile to a Tear Sung by Braham Rondo Pastorale Steibelts Storm Concerto Concerto Guilbert Fly Not Yet Et Palomita Galop F.B. Helmsmuller PALOMITA (Just Once More) GALOP F. B. Helmsmuller The Wandering Jew Burgmuller(not completed - only six bars of music copied)

Very fragile. Binding is secure and music scores are very clear and legible. Covers have been bent causing weakened support to pages, and approximately one-half of the marbelized paper on front cover is not attached. Edges of pages of book have old water and wear damage as well as evidence of mold damage.
