Mahogany with curly maple, satinwood and ebony inlay
Knife Box, made of mahogany with curly maple, satinwood and ebony inlay. Lid is slanted. Brass pull and lock, appear to be original. Elaborate inlay on top of lid with stopped inlay down each side of front. Interior of lid is not varnished but has string inlay in shape of diamond, using satinwood. Brass hinges on back of lids are different shapes on each box. Inlay has been replaced in areas.Collection
