Description

Epergne, Sheffield, early 19th century, having everted leaf rim above tapered vase-shaped standard haivng vertical acanthus leaf lower area of body, fitted with four leaf-capped and shaped arms terminating with circular dish holders, onlcircular shaped pedestal base, having four shell-shaped and scroll feet with floral, 'C'-scroll and leaf border decoration; each arm numbered and marked with number one through four, engraved with machine number 2777.K, each arm fitted with cut glass, circular bowl having sawtooth cut and scallped edge with leaf-shaped body and star design bottom center. Stamped on bottom with hallmarkes of T. & J. Creswick, Sheffield, 1811, scratched with number 2777.K
