Carte-de-visite of young woman, Sophie Bonham Aldrich, taken by Geo. S. Cook, Charleston. The woman wears a two-piece dress. Tight-fitting bodice buttons down the front, has long-sleeves, and is decorated with white and dark colored ribbons in geometric patterns. Skirt appears devoid of decoration aside from gathering at waist and hoop underneath.
Studio photograph with elaborate cast-iron or carved wooden chair. Backdrop consists of landscape with tree to the woman's left and a large urn with floral bouquet perched atop a balustrade.Collection
