Color Notes
Ovoid bowl on conical foot; white with underglaze blue decoration. Nanking pattern= landscape design including bridge with person crossing.
Double narrow blue band borders the upper rim of the bowl. Below is a running landscape design, depicting mountains, a bridge over water with one figure crossing, another in a boat, and a pagoda. The ovoid bowl narrows to a short neck which opens to a flared conical foot, ornamented with a wide diaper-patterned band and a narrow band. All decoration is underglaze cobalt blue.
The interior rim of the bowl is decorated with the dagger and dot pattern.

Notes
Nanking is darker blue than Canton and is more carefully painted. Central decoration is more complex than Canton and always includes a figure standing on the bridge.
