Description

Cep Urns with Lids, For Swedish Market Chinese Export Urns with Lids Modeled After Swedish Prototype Made At Marieberg in 1773. C.1780. Large Covered Urns with Molded Swags in Underglaze Blue with Gilt Highlights and Floral Garlands. Double Molded Rings in Gold Blue and Green Frame Floral Sprigs. Base of Urns with Blue Vertical Leaf Decoration. Pedestals with Floral Sprigs and Butterflies, Cobalt and Gilt Bands. Lids with Artichoke Finials in Gilt and Cobalt.

Notes

One Has Large Repair To Base. Other Large Repair To Lid. Lid Finial Loose. Minor Flaking of Underglaze Decoration To Both. Loss of point to pineapple finial. Chip on base of lid. Repaired crack to pedestal. Pier: Lid cracked and repaired. Much less worn.
