Description

Porcelain Dish Double Peacock and Peony" pattern, Chinese Export Porcelain in the Famille Rose palette with gilt highlighting. Part of a larger dinner service. Rim with chain border and floral garlands, central vignette of a pair of peacocks, pink peonies, and rocks surrounded by an inner spearhead border in iron red with gilt outline. Round coverd porcelain dish with a fitted top, handles fit into cut out areas in cover of dish. Used for sauce/jam/ butter, 2004.001.011.a-b
