Description

Scan of two ca. 1940 photographs of Gustave Martschink's corner store that was located at 843 Rutledge Avenue. a: Front of corner store. b: North side of corner store. In 1928, Gustave Martschink bought the building and operated his grocery store until 1939 when he opened what would become one of the leading beer distributors in the State. He kept the building until he died in 1972. The building now is occupied by Torres Superettes, a neighborhood Mexican food place. (Building history, Eberle, 2021.)
