Notes: Settes- Windsor settees are wooden benches with a back and arms and can accommodate seating for two or more people. Windsor settees were first made in Philadelphia in the 1750's as elongated forms of low-back chairs. Settees were most often used in gardens, hallways and public building. The most popular forms of Windson settees were low-back and rod-back.
