Description

Color postcard featuring the Y.M.C.A. Building which was located at 26 George Street, now the site of the College of Charleston Gymnasium. Neighboring house to the west also in view at left. Car on the street in front of the building. Captioned on back: The present Y.M.C.A. Building was erected at a cost of $157,000, raised by popular subscription. It has a membership of about 1,600 and an average daily attendance of more than 600 men and boys. Its outdoor athletic field is one of the finest in the United States.
