Notes
Cotton gin from Bugby Plantation on Wadmalaw Island. Initially acquired from the Sosnowski family by Hugh Lane, president of C&S Bank (C&S Counting House), for display at the bank. (Mr. Lane was also an HCF Board member around the time HCF acquired McLeod Plantation.) HCF acquired the cotton gin from C&S Counting House for possible inclusion in agricultural interpretation at McLeod Plantation. Presumably, this acquisition occurred when C&S Bank closed in the early 1990s.General Notes
