Work table, American, mid 19th century, rosewood, having rectangular top with egg-shaped molded border, center checkerboard made of ebony and light wood which slides to reveal solid mahogany top attached to a velvet work bag that slides out, all above conforming frieze having shaped supports with floral and berry decoration, above octagonal supports and shape base on bun feet.
