Historic Preservation, Affordability, and Livability in Charleston's North Central NeighborhoodEntry/Object ID
2015.002.108Description
As part of the HCF Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative, HCF hired Alexandria, VA-based consultants, czb, LLC to provide recommendations on preserving the North Central neighborhood on the northwest side of the peninsula. This is the report. Their findings call for the adoption of a more interdisciplinary approach to historic preservation, resulting in neighborhood stabilization. This shift represents a divergence of thought in traditional historic preservation work. (See Media link for more information.)
