Description

Cast iron fireback with decorative ornamentation. Manufactured by Foering & Thudium, Phila[delphia] [cast on front]. Roman numerals at bottom left are not legible [stamped No. XX_____?]. Measures 37.5" wide; 30.25" at highest point (center); sides are 23.75" high. Has Y-shaped crack that has been repaired. Removed from ca. 1860 house at 202 S. Hickory Street (Summerville).
