Note
Notes: Originally lent by Mrs. Margaret (Phillip) Hammond, whose father purchased the items while stationed in China in the late 1880s. Mrs. Hammond's daughter - Chillton (?) Mrs. Henry Cheves III - became owner of the porcelain in 1973. Mr. Cheves died after 1978 and Mrs. Cheves remarried Robert E. Johnson, to whom she is still married in 2003.
