A Gothic-revival secretary bookcase features a thin beveled cornice over gothic doors with four pointed-arch windows surrounded by thin astragal molded muntins, above two small drawers with wooden knobs. The bookcase sits on the back half of a lower chest with a slanted and hinged fallboard supported by sloping lopers, with three lower graduated drawers veneered with crotch mahogany veneer, and supported by four bulbous turned feet. The lower case features joined construction with bold heavy stiles and rails which frame recessed panels on the side.Collection
