City Hall damaged in Charleston Storm: A brief but terrific storm which struck Charleston early Sept. 29 brought death to between 25 and 30 persona and injured at least 300 others. The blow lasted approximately only a minute, but devastated larger areas in the city. Photo shows City Hall, with windows broken out by storm. Rear of the City Hall roof was torn away in the gale ... 9/29/38.
