Dominick Estate: 20th century name for Gregorie Neck in Jasper County, built by Bayard Dominick in 1928 – designed by Willis Irvin of Augusta. (Info from Maxine Lutz, Historic Beaufort Foundation, 5/3/2012.) From Stephen Hoffius, 5/3/2012: I believe those are photos of Gregorie Neck in Jasper County. In "Northern Money, Southern Land," there's a photo on page 143 that looks very much like the house in your photo. No idea about the gate, it could easily be Gregorie Neck ... or a thousand other places, too. The writeup in "Northern Money" will give you some background on it. The place was designed by Willis Irvin, who designed many 20th-century Lowcountry plantation houses. Gregorie Neck is now owned by Robert and Alice Jepson of Savannah, good people who are very proud of the history of their property.Created By
