Service of Renaissance Revival Flatware made by George W. Adams of Chawner & Co., London. Dates from 1856-57. Consists of four tablespoons [96.1.6 a-d], four dinner forks [96.1.7 a-d], eight dessert/oval soup spoons [96.1.8 a-h], three salad forks [96.1.9 a-c], one fish slice [96.1.10], one fish fork [96.1.11], one punch ladle [96.1.12], and seven teaspoons [96.1.13 a-g]. Marked with a lion passant, leopard head,a, Queen'sHead duty mark, maker's mark GA with conjoined circles around it. Monogrammed RFWA.
96.1.14 a-e:
Five silver Renaissance Revival coffeespoons from 1877-78. London. 6" Engraved with overlapping CAH. bar of H marked 25 April 1877. Possibly for Charles Albert Hill who married Jane Louise Allston.Collection
