Description

Fire tools America 1790/1810 Brass and steel Tongs and shovel with pair of brass holders or hooks ot be attached to fireplace molding. American 1790-1810. Tongs: Brass with steel shafts and circular pincers. Shovel: Brass top on steel shaft with iron shovel end. Hooks/Holders: Pair brass hooks on lozenge shaped backing of brass.

Tongs: Top shaft 7 1/2" ending in point atop bulbous piece of graduated width. Brass extends 3" down shaft before steel begins. Overall height 30.5" Shovel: L. 29.75" Brass shaft is 6" ending in point atop bulbous brass piece of graduated width. Iron (?) shovel piece is 7.5" long, 3.55"- 6" wide.
