Description

Large kerosene lantern with a cylindrical base and a lip around the bottom. There is a fuel cap on the front and a burner in the center. The burner consists of a round, wick-adjusting knob, a metal ring with circular vents, and a dome-shaped emitter with an opening on top for the wick. The glass chimney is pear-shaped and sits on top of the burner. The glass is tinted dark gray with soot on the inside. The chimney is enclosed by crossed metal wires around the bottom. The frame of the lantern is large and rectangular, extending on either side of the chimney and covering it at the top with a cylindrical cap. The bottom edge of the cap has circular vents, and the top has ovular vents. There is a flat portion at the very top with an inscription and a small, circular handle. A larger handle is attached to the fame.
