The musical instrument is a lightly-toned wooden set of castanets. They are joined by doweling to be hand-held. An old shoe lace was tied through. Burned into the wood of one of the castanets is "Ed C." ______ (illegible). The donor was Cliff Hammond and belonged to Mrs. Hoag of Summerset Center.Acquisition
