This is a piggy bank made from white metal, a combination of zinc, aluminum, and small amounts of copper, brass, and lead. Painted cerulean blue with a red tongue and painted blue and light yellow. It is a piggy bank. It was likely owned by Arthur Haywood, Hastings, based on the tag. Tag written by Irving Charlton. Made by Banthrico Inc. in Chicago, IL. They made 900 different banks for financial institutions to give away. Banthrico is short for Banker's Thrift Corporation, and operated from 1931-1985.
