Description

Two large kerosene lanterns (A-B). A: The lantern has a cylindrical base and a large, rectangular frame. The burner and glass chimney are positioned in the center of the base and surrounded by a very large, conical reflector. The reflector is flat on the back and has an inscription. The chimney is capped by a a flat, circular piece of metal hanging down from the frame by a tube. A large handle is connected to the top of the frame and has a circular loop that connects to the back of the reflector. There is a fuel cap at the front of the base. B: Similar lantern to object A. The lantern has a cylindrical base and large, rectangular metal frame. The oil burner and glass chimney are positioned in the center of the base, and there is a small, circular knob extending off the right side of the burner. A circular fuel cap is also on the front of the base. The chimney is surrounded by a large, conical reflector with a metal grate on the front that swings open on a hinge and clasps shut. The chimney is capped by flat, circular piece of metal that hangs down from the frame by a tube. The frame has two handles attached, one a looped wire handle and the other a rectangular one attached at the top of the frame and the back of the reflector.
