Victorian-era motto sampler with the text "Forget Me Not." Text has been embroidered in shades of red and white, with vines and flowers around the text. There is some water damage on the left side and lower right corner. The frame looks as though it once had wooden leaves on all four corners, but only one remains.
Perforated paper needlework was popular from 1860-1900. The paper came stamped with the design so someone could just follow the template.
