Name/Title

Lantern, Kerosene

Description

Kerosene lantern with a cylindrical base with a fuel cap on the front and a burner in the center. The burner consists of a small, wick-adjusting knob, a ring with circular vents, and a dome-shaped emitter with an opening on the top for the wick. The burner is covered by a cylindrical glass chimney. The chimney is enclosed by a wire frame, which crosses in an "X" pattern on the front and back. There is a larger, bracketed frame that has a rectangular shape and supports the cap for the chimney, which is the lower portion of the cylindrical top to the lantern. There are vents along the top and bottom of this portion, and a disc at the top with a small handle and an inscription. A larger looped handle is connected to the frame.
