Description

Cast iron and brass coffee mill painted red, the ELMA, No. 00. This mill bolted to a counter. The side crank has a wooden handle, the gears are exposed, and there is a wooden drawer with a black knob at the base. Manufactured by ELMA, c. 1924 in Spain. Front text: ELMA Back text: 00 . Circa 1924. From the first half of the 20th century, and it is Spanish. The ELMA Company was created in 1924 by five men, two of whom were brothers, in Arrasate, Spain. The combination of the first letters of their last names spells ELMA. The company was acquired or sold in the 1940s,
