Earrings

Description

Gold hanging earrings with pear pendants. During the Arts & Crafts movement (1860-1915), jewelers rejected the mass production of jewelry by focusing on making unique handmade pieces of jewelry. Arts & Crafts jewelry often used stones that were smoothed and polished, called cabochons, instead of faceted stones that are common today. This style of jewelry prioritized designs that were personal, very detailed, and hard to copy. Arts & Crafts jewelry often included natural shapes like flowers, leaves, and vines, as well as some geometric patterns.
