Description

Pipe owned by George Sumner, WWI veteran. Member of the American Legion. Bowl is light brown with "twily pisines" (?), with a metal band at the start of the black stem and it has the letter "K" made out of metal on bowl. Donor's Description: Pipe owned and smoked by George Sumner. World War I veteran. Member of the American Legion Lawrence J. Bauer Post #45, Hastings, Michigan. He was Conservation Officer of Barry County. He was in the employment of the Michigan Conservation Department from 1928 to 1953. Twenty-five years of continuous service at the time of his retirement.
