Photographed around 1930, Cecile Huggins (1900-2006) would live at this American Foursquare home (2602 Blossom Street) for nearly her entire life. The daughter of George Henry Huggins (1860-1929) and Daisy Rice Huggins (1874-1961), Cecile worked as an educator, teaching at Greenville High School from 1931 to 1942, the Columbia Hospital School of Nursing in 1943, the Baptist Hospital School of Nursing from 1943 to 1958, and at the University of South Carolina as a biology professor from 1943 until her retirement in 1967. Cecile and her parents are buried at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral Cemetery in Columbia.Made/Created
