Traditionally round and deep with interior lining and an external handle, hat boxes were used for storage and traveling. Leather hat boxes were most desirable, but cardboard was also a common medium. This particular carrying case was once used to store a man’s top hat. The exterior stickers reveal that it accompanied him to Shrewsbury and the Great Western Hotel in Newquay, both of which are located in England.Material
