Description

Single-handled brown stoneware jug with two merchant stamps, "W.T.LIGHT," on the top and near the bottom.

Context

This jug is attributed to John James Stork's (1841–1915) Pottery of Richland County. It is stamped twice for W. T. Light, who may have been a Columbia area merchant, although further research is needed.
