Description

Wooden inkwell holder comprised of four deer antlers and one tusk. The tusk and antlers form a wreath that surrounds the inkwell while two additional antlers extend vertically at the back of the inkwell. A second tusk—on the left—has broken off. Metal adjoins the tusk to the antler.

Use

As an inkwell stand, the base of this stationary tool was designed to hold an ink vessel while a dip pen rested horizontally across the antlers extending upwards.
