Item a is a print, larger than 2013.5.4.30a, from the sketch by James Pennell. 1881, "On the Road above Fisher's Lane." The Mechlin House, 4935 Germantown Avenue, is on the left. The Dedier House, 4925 Germantown Avenue is on the right.
Item b is a typescript card indicating that the Mechlin house stood where Claper Street now meets Germantown Avenue and that the Dedier house was occupied by William Dedier in 1809, that it belonged to the estate of Peter Dedier and was torn down in 1881.Collection
