One in a series of ten black and white photographs of the Fromberger-Harkness House at 5501 Germantown Avenue, under renovations circa 1952-1953. The home would become that of the Germantown Mutual Fire Insurance Company and later, the Germantown Historical Society and Historic Germantown. This view shows the front [west] facade as seen from across Market Square. A sign with "J. S. Cornell & Son, Builders" adorns the exterior wall of the second floor.
