Approximately 50 unnumbered pages in a hard cover album.
Album. Approximately 50 unnumbered pages in a hard cover album. The "Title" is taken from the word embossed on the Front Cover and [likely] has no association with the contents. The contents are ORIGINAL pencil and color drawings/illustrations of scenes along the Wisshaickon. The artist lived from 1817-1900 and was a Pennsylvania watercolorist who later moved to the Mohawk Valley in New York state. Some of the drawings/illustrations were made in the late 1800s. No information is available as to how these drawings/illustrations were assembled into this album.
A handwritten notice has been placed Inside the Front Cover by the GHS Archivist indicating that access to this book is RESTRICTED. Researchers may not handle this book unsupervised, due to the valuable nature of this collection.
