Soft cover, 267 pages. This book is a rendering of the journal of Johannes Herberger who undertook a voyage to America in 1764 to recover the inheritance of a family member who purchased a plot of land from William Penn in Pennsylvania. The land had passed into other hands, and Herbergs worked to resolve the legal issues in the matter. The first copy of this book is found in the Library stacks at U-5, Pesch (2001.19.1).
