Bodice tapers towards waist and comes to a point at both front and back middle. Series of stays sewn in interior, Pleated design at front features brown silk with orange floral design, series of brass buttons with louts flower design, fourth button from bottom has insect design, sleeves are full at shoulder and have braiding at cuff.
Skirt has two layers. Interior layer is light brown with dark brown pleated hem, outer layer is dark brown with decorative inset material at the front on both the left and right sides, Material in brown silk with orange floral design, At center of each decorative inset is a braided frog design, Dress most ikely dates fron early nineteenth century.Dimensions
