Two articles are glued to page 77.
The first article [77a], "'Keep On,' Is Word of Dying Officer," in which the article notes: "An exhortation to his men to 'keep on' in pursuit of the Germans was the farewell of Lieutenant Edwin Shorp Van Dusen, 5131 Morris st. Germantown, when he fell, mortally wounded, at Montfaucon on September 30. The tale of the lieutenant's death was brought home by William L. Housel, Shamokin, a member of the machine gun company of the 314th Infantry, who is now convalescent at Camp Meade."
The second article [77b] has no headline. This April 18, 1918 article notes "Regarding patriotism at the Coulter Street Friends' School, the following statement has been issued on behalf of the School: 'At Friends' School, while the well-known religious attitude of Friends prevents the school organization from engaging officially in the Liberty Bond campaign, many individuals among teachers and pupils are subscribing for the bonds and soliciting subscriptions. Flags are displayed in the classrooms and patriotic exercises have been held, and any rumors to the contrary are untrue. Any question about the policy of the school can easily find answers upon a visit and a talk with the principal, Stanley R. Yarnall."
