Gown. Trousseau gown; pink silk taffeta evening gown; low neck; train; trimmed in self ruffles and shirring; machine chain stitching. Gown was worn by the donor's grandmother: Sarah Jane Gray (born 1826), who married Augustus Newbold LeRoy of Hartford Connecticut. in 1848. Gown was later re-made circa 1870 Good condition. Circa 1848. Transcribed from original accession record.
