Woman's hand-held fixed fan of woven straw; round leaf; black wood handle with dark yellow ribbon; cord attached to bottom of handle; little tortoise shell rounds where handle ends in middle of leaf and where handle first meets leaf. Exhibited in "The Personal Touch: Clothing Accesories from Germantown Past" May 16, 1986 to Oct 31, 1986. Circa 1840.
