Description

Hard cover, 128 pages. This book is a "book of manners" authored by George Washington at age thirteen. These rules were originally found in a French manuscript of 1595, which were likely copied from an Italian book, Il Galateo, published in 1556. A bookplate found Inside the Front Cover indicates this book was presented to The Germantown Historical Society by Marion Rosenbaum in October, 2002.
