Description

Photographs from Photo Scrapbook 1, Part 2, Page 78 The photograph shows the Henry House (also known as the Wachsmuth-Henry House) located at 4908 Germantown Avenue. The house is two stories, stucco-covered with four arched dormer windows built into the roof line and four large brick chimneys protruding above the roof line at each end of the main structure. The photograph also shows a two story rear extension with a dormer window and large brick chimney. An arched pediment overhang supported by two columns is visible above the main entrance. A side porch, a trellis (or two) and a small "greenhouse" are visible in front of the side porch. Prominent in the foreground is a stone wall connected to stone columns that appears to extend around the entire house. A man and a woman are seen standing in front of the wall at the corner. A three story building is seen to the right in the photograph. A one story structure appears connected to the right of the house and yet separate from the three story building next door. Automobiles appear parked in front of this one story structure. A fire box anbd stone column are visible on the brick paved sidewalk.
