Description
Historic marker inscribed "On this site stood the De La Plaine House. From its balcony overlooking Market Square Whitefield once preached. In its cellar during the Battle of Germantown many women and children found refuge. The Site and Relic Society of Germantown 1905." Located at the Northeast corner of Germantown Avenue and Schoolhouse Lane.
