Photograph: Please see notes for captioning and other information. This photograph shows an interior view of the former King of Prussia Inn located at 5516-18-20 Germantown Avenue. The photograph shows a portion of a room at the King of Prussia Inn . In the center of the photograph is a large fireplace with a formal surround noted by elaborate woodworking and columns. On the mantel are various china plates, a bust, a pitcher, a vase and candlesticks. The fireplace opening is oval shaped at the top and the interior is brick lined. A large set of andirons is centered in the opening and loaded with wooden logs. Fireplace tools are found to the right and a bellows is seen on the left. A windsor chair is offset to the left with a fur-skinned rug placed on the floor. A brick hearth extends a little distance from the fireplace itself. A small stool is positioned to the right of the fireplace and a potted plant rests on the floor beneath a window on the right. In the left corner are built-in cabinets with closed doors. The walls appear to be plaster coated.
