The article, along with a photograph of Lieutenant Jay Cooke, II, notes "Jay Cooke, 2d, aide-de-camp to Major General Joseph E. Kuhn, commanding the 79th Division, was gassed in action between November 5 and 6. His name is included on the official Government casualty list today, but the fact he was injured was known by his father, Jay Cooke, Federal Food and Drug Administrator for Philadelphia, several weeks ago. With the name of this young Philadelphian the honor roll contains 134 names of men from this city and nearby places. Three are killed, eight died of wounds, two of disease, 111 are wounded, and 10 missing."
