Photographs from Photo Scrapbook 1, Part 1, Page 64
Photograph a is a view of the Johnson House located at 6306 Germantown Avenue. The photograph shows a side view of the house which is a three story stone structure. The main portion of the house is to the right in the photograph and the main entrance fronts on Germantown Avenue. A three story stone "extension" is visible in the left of the photograph and continues beyond the main portion. In the foreground is visible a picket fence. Beyond the fence are growths of what appear to be vines (?) Two brick chimneys and dormer windows are visible in the photograph. A side proch with an arched pediment overhang is visible on the side of the house, and this is built into an overhang which extends the width of the first floor side of the building. At the very left of the photograph are what appear to be two porches (at both the first and second story levels) at the very end of the "extension". Some shutters are also visible at the first story left. At the extreme right of the photograph are seen some buildings on the opposite side of Germantown Avenue.Photograph Details
