Clippings and memorabilia from World War I scrapbook compiled by Dr. Naaman H. Keyser, page 61
A single article- in three pieces- is glued to page 61. The first article bears the headline "Fine Program for Vernon Park Sing," and notes "Increased popular interest is displayed in the 'Liberty Sings' held every Thursday night in Vernon Park. The number in attendance last Thursday night is estimated at 2000. Tonight, the first of the monthly music festivals will be held, and John S. Hart, the director, has prepared a notable program. The Philadelphia Police Band, with Joseph Keifer [with photo], leader, will take part, and there will be solos by Miss May Farley [photo included], Mrs. Russell King Miller and others, as well as two addresses." The article then gives the complete program for the evening.
