Clippings and memorabilia from World War I scrapbook compiled by Dr. Naaman H. Keyser, page 120
Two undated newspaper clippings are glued to page 120. The first clipping at left [120a] is about Lieutenant C. M. Kinsolving [with photo], who "has returned from France, where he was attached to the American Air Service. Lieutenant Kinsolving, a son of Bishop Lucien Lee Kinsolving, of Brazil, has been decorated with the Croix de Guerre, and also with the Special Cross of the Lafayette Escadrille. He formerly lived in Chestnut Hill."
The second of the two clippings- 120b at right- bears the headline "Bishop of Brazil's Soldier Son Arrives." It continues with "On the cruiser St. Louis, which has just reached home from overseas, was Lieutenant Charles M. Kinsolving, son of Bishop Lucient [Lucien?] Lee Kinsolving, the Episcopal bishop of Brazil. The Lieutenant returns after two and one-half years' service at the front. Lieutenant Kinsolving was formerly a sugar salesman for the Pennsylvania Sugar Company. He is going to the home of his aunt after being mustered out of the service. She is Mrs. S. F. Houston, whose estate, Druimmoir [Druim Moir], is at Chestnut Hill."
